Meet The Specialist
Hi everybody! My name is Christina Baur, and I am an artist coach, mentor, and manager in Munich, London, and Los Angeles. I started to play the piano when I was eight years old, went to an acting school, and always loved the arts industry. (I can’t count how many concerts I have been – as a hobby and professionally, of course!)
After high school, I interned with one of the most prominent radio stations in Germany and loved working with artists and managers. However, I wanted to continue improving my knowledge, so I studied tourism and event management in Germany and California. During this time, I toured with an ensemble of artists in Germany and gained a lot of experience working at festivals in the United States. I am happy to have gained knowledge in the areas: Online/experiential marketing, social media, time management, visas, artists’ struggles, and how to set up tours.
After my studies, I started working for an artist management company in London and Los Angeles. To this point, I am still working with them and managing about 5-6 artists every week. We create and send out contracts, book our artists, create websites for them, and release their singles with our independent label. Sometimes we go on tour with them and function as a tour manager.
During the last four years, I have worked with multiple artists who needed more motivation, were unhappy with their numbers, wanted to tour more, and were seeking help to grow their music careers and business.
Half a year ago, I started my coaching and mentoring business, “Be Your Own Star”, where I help artists who are not signed on by management or a label and want to make it work as independent artists. It’s been a joy to dedicate my time to discovering their real passion, how they can grow their followers on all social media and streaming platforms, and how artists can get paid doing what they love to do.
My biggest passion is to make you happy and feel wholeheartedly fulfilled with your music career.
